Route Planning & Geotechnical Assessment

We work alongside engineers and surveyors to identify the most viable access route, assessing rock formations, slope stability, drainage patterns, and environmental sensitivities — including wetlands, waterways, and wildlife habitat — along the proposed corridor.

Mobilization

Reaching difficult sites is often half the challenge. We transport drills, blasting equipment, excavators, haul trucks, and crews to remote locations, coordinating temporary bridging, barging, or staged equipment moves where needed to get the job started.

Drilling & Blast Design

Undeveloped terrain rarely offers predictable rock conditions. We engineer blast patterns suited to variable ground, including cut slopes, switchbacks, and rock benching required to establish a stable road grade through hilly or mountainous terrain.

Controlled Blasting

Our crews execute controlled blasts to cut through rock outcrops and ridgelines, with careful attention to slope stability and minimizing overbreak — critical in remote settings where rework and material disposal aren’t easy options.

Excavation & Road Building

We clear, haul, and shape blasted rock and overburden to build roads, cut-and-fill slopes, culvert crossings, and turnouts. Wherever possible, blasted rock is repurposed on-site as fill or road surface material, reducing costly hauling in and out of remote areas. Our wide variety of excavators, dozers, rock trucks and compaction equipment make these projects possible in any location.

Environmental & Regulatory Compliance

We manage erosion and sediment control, fish and wildlife protection measures, permitting requirements specific to remote and often environmentally sensitive Crown or resource land. We work with First Nations partners to ensure all of their requirements are also met.
